Cari Rose Esta is a published poet born and raised in the peaks and valleys of West Virginia. She has a wonderfully supportive husband, three cats, and two dogs, one of which is her therapy dog. Her journey into the world of poetry began at an early age, influenced by the vibrant storytelling traditions and idle gossip of her grandparents.

At SNHU, Cari tried on four other majors before giving in and switching to her lifelong passion — English and poetry. In those studies, she was finally home. She is a storyteller, but also a dreamer and can switch gears so quickly that her husband frequently suffers from whiplash trying to keep up. She heals through her writing and hopes it can help others as well.
Cari is inspired by Jewel, Taylor Swift, Regina Spektor, and Emily Dickinson. She seeks to create poetry that resonates with truth and authenticity while also voicing random ponderings and what-ifs. Her writing philosophy centers on the belief that poetry is not just an art form but a means of connection—a bridge between the personal and the universal.
Currently, Cari is working on her memoir and second poetry collection, mixing things up a bit by bringing new perspectives and voices to the forefront of literary discourse. She can be contacted through several social media platforms.
